Beginning Smocking
Learn all the basic stitches used in Geometric Smocking otherwise known as Classic English Smocking. These include: the cable, the baby wave, the trellis, the four step flower as well as the lazy daisy & French knots. We will cover fabric selection, preparation of your fabric for pleating and how to read a smocking a plate. For your project, you may choose a baby or child's dress or a lady's nightgown. Note that there is a discount if signing up two people together.

Beginners Picture Smocking
Learn how to read a picture smocking plate and stack your cables beautifully! Have you been wanting to learn how to smock all of those cute figures & shapes? Then this is the class you have been waiting for. Naturally, you need to know how to do geometric smocking first, then follow it with this class!

Wired Ribbon Roses
These are as beautiful to wear as a pendant as they are to use to embellish your knitting or embroidery projects. You may want to put them on fabric covered boxes or even gift boxes! We have samples in the shop to entice you! Come on in & learn to make these pretty flowers and leaves with us.
Kids love to make these too, so make this a Mom & daughter event!

Knitting Level II: DROPPED STITCH SCARF
In this class we will move on to the dropped stitch scarf. It's easy! You'll also learn how to add several different fringe techniques. This is a beautiful scarf and from this class you can move on to make a shawl of the same pattern easily.

Knitting Level III: THE DIAGONAL SCARF
This is the most incredible scarf! You get to use as many different kinds of yarns as you possibly can! Bring in your left over yarns & add a few new ones from our yarn room! We will help you with your color scheme as you create the Diagonal Scarf. Or, you could choose one of our kits. You'll learn how to increase and decrease in this class and with these skills you can easily make a shawl as your next project.
